Who Is PiTaV, Inc.

We are a team of scholars, community leaders, activists, and volunteers dedicated to supporting students currently attending primary and high school in Glen View, Harare, Zimbabwe who have experienced the death of their parents. Our students are fortunate that their extended family members care for them and despite their hardships, they dare to dream still. We are privileged to be a part of their journey.

This phrase has been shortened to "ubuntu"  in Zulu/ Ndebele or "unhu" in (Shona)  to reflect our understanding that we are who were are because of the support of other people.

In other words,we believe in the literal meanting of the proverb "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child."

It is on the basis of these  beliefs that we are motivated us to stand as a visible commitment to improving the quality of life of children impacted by HIV/AIDS and to supporting the families who care for the children.

We invite you to be a part of this global village and ask for continued support and enduring partnership.

Our belief and commitment to the concept of personal ensures your gift goes directly to the community you intend.

Additionally,  at PiTaV, Inc.  we want to ensure our children and their families remain supported even through unforeseeable hardships like the current COVID  pandemic and the 2008 recession. During these times, and with the help of community partners, we have provided food packages regularly.

We also show our dedication to securing a bright future for vulnerable children by providing them opportunities to participate in sports. Through our partnership with Harare Metropolitan Baseball association, we have started a vibrant baseball program. It is our hope that our support will place our children in positions of power to impact the world in a positive way.
